Charles-Georges Duvanel was born on 10 May 1906 in Aarau, Kanton Aargau, Switzerland. He was a cinematographer and director, known for Pionniers (1936), The Vocation of André Carel (1925) and Die rote Pest (1938). He died on 18 June 1975.
