Akbar Manani
He began his professional career in voice acting in 1961, radio broadcasting in 1953, and dubbing direction in 1964. He has lent his voice to numerous films, series, and animations, including Poirot (voicing Hercule Poirot), All Saints (voicing Frank), The Best Years of Our Lives (voicing Fredric March), Zebel-Khan (voicing the title character), and The Adventures of Gulliver (voicing Glum, known for the catchphrase "I know..."). For many years, he voiced the characters "Felfeli" and "Mr. Khoshbin" on the radio program Friday Morning with You (Sobh-e Jom'e ba Shoma).
Akbar Manani authored the first comprehensive historical record of dubbing in Iran, titled The Story of Iranian Dubbing and Its Enduring Voices. This work, which took 17 years to complete, explores the how, why, and when of the introduction of dubbing to Iran.
